What a Happy Day!!!

Today has been such a great day thus far. How ironic that it's Halloween and I've had so many things go so good today?

I worked out some kinks with a dear friend today. I'm so glad because she's very special to me and there was no way I was letting her slip out of our lives. ;)

I also worked out some miscommunications with another friend, hopefully that will help a newfound friendship bloom.

My bestest friend in the entire world, Bell, sent me photos of her beautiful daughter who started sitting up today! Wow...where did the time go? Seems like she was just born yesterday!! Each time I see photos of her I just want to grab those cheeks and give her a million kisses!

I also found out that one of our mutual friends and his wife just had baby #2. They were very surprised (as well as everyone else I suppose) that they were expecting to see a baby girl when she actually had a BOY! Congratulations!!! And welcome Alec Vincent!! I miss them all like crazy, and now that they have baby #2, I definitely need to go visit them.

Both of my kiddos have been SUPER today! And for the first time ever, my husband woke up this morning and asked me ... ME, how I was feeling today! It took me quite a few minutes to respond, I just wanted to soak that up for a little bit. That, my friends was the highlight of my beautiful day!

So I see in the paper a few days ago that the little mall we have is doing a Trick or Treat and Costume Contest. My mind has convinced itself that it was tonight! Starting at 5:15 or so we got the kids dressed in their costumes, got their TOT bags and headed to the mall. At least it's only a few mins. away.... We get there and see another family or two loading back up with their kids in costume, the mall is looking a little desolate. I walk up and the doors are locked. I finally find a store clerk cleaning up and ask about the Halloween night....

Um, it's TOMORROW! I thought for sure it must be a misprint in the paper, but unfortunately not... how did I mess that one up? So the kids were all upset that they didn't get any candy TONIGHT so we head to Wal-Mart, costumes and all and go "trick or treating" down the candy isles!! LOL

Husker says that was our trial run...we'll try that again tomorrow! LOL

Thinking about the Holidays

I can't believe it's that time of year again. Halloween, Princess' Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years! This is the time of year when I really miss having my family around. Husker's job (once again) will hinder us from traveling home to spend the holidays with family. Last Thanksgiving we had a couple over to enjoy the feast with us. Now that we're in the Swamp it's not to easy to invite people over. I guess I will cook again this year, I really love doing it, we just have so much leftover because I insist on cooking EVERYTHING that I had growing up! Turkey, Honey baked Ham, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potato Pie, Stuffing, Cranberries & more...oh I'm getting hungry!! The best part is dessert! Pecan Pie, Derby Pie, Chess Pie!! I love having Turkey and Cranberry sandwiches afterwards! Yum!! Less than a month away... I'm thinking maybe I should do a "Mock Thanksgiving" just as a refresher! hahaha

Halloween Party!

The day didn't start off as planned...is that unusual these days??!?! :)

They tried to give us the gymnasium instead of the old fitness center that we had rented before. I had to make a few calls and really get dirty with this woman...they were seriously going to tick me off! Finally, after not taking no for an answer and pretty much demanding that we get what we wanted...we got it! :) Yay!

That didn't give us any time for decorating, but everyone pitched in and really took off rushing that department! There was so much food and it was so yummy! I think about 3 tables worth!! We had 2 large craft tables set up for the kids; Pumpkin Decorating, Halloween Coloring Pages, Mask Decorating and Ghost Necklace Decorating! What kid wouldn't have fun doing all of that?!?! We had plenty of games going; Pin the Tail on the Cat, Bean Bag Toss and a Spider Ring Toss!

I only got to sit for a few minutes to eat, the rest of the time I spent going over a cleanup game plan in my head. I did spend a good time in the bathroom cleaning up...that place was trashed! I had so much going on that I almost forgot about the raffle AND the donation bucket! I'm always worrying about other people and if they're having a good time that I tend to forget about myself or my kids! I felt so bad because I left them to decorate on their own but I ended up sitting there helping a few other kids decorate masks, ghosts and pumpkins! What can I say... I just love all these kids!!!!!!

Husker had a good time, he said it was better than last years Halloween party! I guess that's the goal...better each year! Maybe by next year we'll have a solid game plan for everything! He got to talk to a few new Dads and lots of those that he already knew. I'm so lucky that he supports the playgroup and encourages me to never give up despite whatever may be going on!

We finally got everything done! I won 2 of the raffles! One was a Stampin' Up gift card (I'm going to owe Cubanita bigtime for that win) and the Peterbrooke bag...it had a bunch of halloween decor and a bag of chocolate covered popcorn (all gone!!). Princess and Lil'Buddy came home with lots of goodies and prizes too!

It was good to see everyone, especially those I hadn't seen in a while. We made it home safely but very tired. Husker had to work tonight and usually lays down for a few hours before work...he didn't even get a minute of sleep. :( He sacrificed his sleep for us, I'll have to bake him something special! :)

Two more days till Halloween!!

It's Par-Tay Time!!

Today is our playgroup's 2nd Anniversary Halloween Party and by golly I'm so friggen happy it's finally here!!!

As of Thursday evening we had everything 100% complete and organized! WooHoo! It felt like a 400 lb. man just got off my shoulders. :) I think that's how we all had so much fun at the Maize! Anywho I've got to finish making my gazillion sausage balls this morning.

Did I say just how excited I am?! I love being around everyone in the playgroup, close friends or not, they're damn good company!!!!

What a Corny Day!

We had a blast of a Corny day yesterday! :)

The kids and I joined the playgroup for the absolute best field trip we've ever been on. I think my kids had so much fun and they were begging not to leave the Maize!
There were 16 or 19 Moms and Dads and then well over 20 kids but let me tell ya it was THE BEST time!! We all did the Corn Maze together, actually there were several 'small' groupings of us because of the quiz sheets but we all did the maze together. It was so much fun. It wasn't tall corn like I had expected which was even better since we really couldn't get 'lost'. We did make a few circles and then found our way out! :)

After the Maize 'Maze' we headed to the playarea which consisted of a huge pool type thing full of corn instead of sand so the kids could jump right in! Above that was this huge slide thing with two slides. One was a round piping...something you'd see for water pipes and the other was a slide made out of PVC piping so when the kids went down it was a fast and bumpy ride!! My kids LOVED that thing....crazy I tell ya!

Then was the HayRide! We didn't all fit in the front wagon so a few of the group were in the back wagon of hay. We drove around the farm and ended up with the cows! You would have thought that these kids have never seen cattle...they were so excited to be within arms reach of cows! They started pulling hay from our seating and throwing it to the cows to graize! We headed back to the main area and had a pit stop for the barn. We got to see Roosters, a Donkey, a Cow and 2 Pigs! We couldn't touch them (yay!) but we could feed them thru some get up they had. The animals were very vocal, and you know the kids loved that!

When the Hayride was over the kids all jumped in the little cow cars for the CowTrain! Princess said this was her FAVORITE part!! The driver asked if I wanted to ride up front with him (not the first time)...dirty old man! lol I guess he liked my belly! haha!

That pretty much summed up the day. The kids spent the next hour riding on trikes on a hay course, playing with the corn and feeding the goats!

We headed home with 2 extra kiddos, Cubanita's girls...they have been a blast and sooooo well behaved!!! I'm so honored to have their first sleepover away from Mommy/Daddy! :) Sorry to tell ya, they haven't missed you guys! hahhaa!!! :)

Ode to Ali

This may be corny to most but this person has really touched my heart and I want her to know that! I've known Ali for a few years. We met via email when we were both invovled in photo contests. I referred her to the parenting board most of us posted at during that time. Since then, Ali has become a friend. Someone who always has encouraging words for her fellow members, someone who listens and knows when to offer advice and when to just offer a HUG. Ali is a sweet and loving person and it shows. She's dedicated time and energy to Moms-Online without asking for anything in return.

Almost three years ago I was pregnant with Lil'Buddy and posted photos in my journal often. A special little thing that Princess always wanted to do was the "Belly Bump". It became very frequent, doing "Belly Bumps" everyday! It was so cute, I'd lift my shirt, she'd do the same and we'd touch and Princess would say "Bump". I took photos and posted to MO.

Yesterday Ali mentioned that. She remembered. I don't know about you but when someone I've never met in my entire life can remember those little minute things that mean so much to me definitely has a special place. That made me think about so many people I am around or was around everyday. Can they tell me what my favorite past-time is, or my favorite food, can they recall those special moments I hold with my children or anything about my life in general?

Ali did. That was big Ali and I want you to know that you are a friend that anyone should want to have.

THANK YOU! You brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye and it made me proud to call you a friend.

It's Saturday....

Well it's Husker's Saturday! Since he's off on Wed. and Thurs. each week we treat that as our "weekend"! We drove to town today, I got to drive his Truck :) ... I had Princess with me and he took the Van with Lil'Buddy. We met at McDonald's for a bite to eat and to let the kids play. It was empty, seriously we were the only ones in the entire restaurant! Then we went to the YMCA and took a tour, we ended up signing up so now we are offical 'Y' Members!!! We found out that he doesn't just get a corporate discount, the company pays for 1/2 of our membership... how awesome is that?!?!!

Afterwards we made a trip to Wal-Mart for supplies I still needed for the Halloween Party, Princess' Party, etc... It's so friggen stressful to take on a task at the last minute, my head is so cluttered with "need to do's and what to do's" that I'm overwhelmed. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I was already involved. I do have plenty of helpers; FBI, Cubanita, Blue... thank you guys SO MUCH!!!

So I got that stuff and headed to the Crock Pots. I pointed to the one I wanted, the Rival Smart Pot...Stainless Steel, Automatic Digital Controls, Carrying Case, etc... it's so nice! Husker loaded it up and said it's yours! Yay! Crock Pot!

I just finished with dinner. Tonight's menu: Brown Sugar Pork Chops, Broccoli & Cheese, Corn & Hawaiian Rolls. I'm baking a cheesecake right now and I'm making everyone stay out of the kitchen ... don't disturb the oven! :) I LOVE to bake, especially when it's a cheesecake! I just can't wait to chill that baby and top it with cherries... mmmmmmm!!!!! Are you craving a slice yet? :)

A Story of Morals

In lieu of recent events a lifelong friend I've had since college sent this to me, perhaps to cheer me up. It was definitely something I needed to read but a lesson I never seem to learn!

Once a merchant was leading a caravan of heavily-laden camels through a jungle when one of them, overcome by fatigue, collapsed. The farmer decided to leave the camel in the jungle and go on his way. Later, when the camel recovered his strength, he realized that he was alone in a strange jungle. Fortunately there was plenty of grass and he survived. One day the king of the jungle, a lion, arrived along with his three friends - a leopard, a fox, and a crow. The king lion wondered what the camel was doing in the jungle! He came near the camel and asked how he, a creature of the desert, had ended up in the hostile jungle? The camel tearfully explained what happened. The lion took pity on him and said, "You have nothing to fear now. Henceforth, you are under my protection and can stay with us. The camel began to live happily in the jungle.

One day the lion was wounded in a fight with an elephant. He retired to his cave and stayed there for several days. His friends came to offer their sympathy. They tried to catch prey for the hungry lion but failed. The camel had no problem as he lived on grass while the others were starving.

The fox came up with a plan. He secretly went to the lion and suggested that the camel be sacrificed for the good of the others. The lion got furious, "I can never kill an animal who is under my protection." The fox humbly said, "But Lord, you have provided us food all the time if any one of us voluntarily offered himself to save your life, I hope you won’t mind!" The hungry lion did not object to that and agreed to take the offer.

The fox went back to his companions and said, "Friends, our king is dying of starvation. Let us go and beg him to eat one of us. It is the least we can do for such a noble soul." So they went to the king and the crow offered his life. The fox interrupted, and said, "You are a small creature, the master’s hunger will hardly be appeased by eating you. May I humbly offer my life to satisfy my master’s hunger." The leopard stepped forward and said, "You are no bigger than the crow, it is me whom our master should eat." The foolish camel thought, "Everyone has offered to lay down their lives for the king, but he has not hurt any one. It is now my turn to offer myself. So he stepped forward and said, "Stand aside friend leopard, the king and you have close family ties. It is me whom master must eat." An ominous silence greeted the camel’s offer, then the king gladly said, " I accept your offer, O noble camel." And in no time he was killed by the three rogues, the false friends.


Moral: "Be careful in choosing your friends."

It's Official!

I'm officially half way there!! I'm SO much bigger than I've ever been at this stage. Not bigger as in weight and all, more so in there's just so much more "baby" there!! See my little preview below! :)

The SW Trip

SeaWorld was a hit. My kids had a great time and enjoyed the park, mostly trick or treating! There were some miscommunication problems with the group of us there but I guess that happens with some groups. I had expected that we'd all stay together and do everything together... SeaWorld is a small park, you pretty much see/do everything in a day or less. And our 'group' didn't get to ride the rides because of the weather conditions. But anyway, we had a great time and enjoyed the Family Outing! We had an awesome dinner at Bennigans...I can't say it enough: Monté Cristo's ROCK!!!! Thanks for a nice, yet comical dinner Stampy & Family and Cubanita & Family!

I was beat at the end of the day, completely GONE! I had started getting Braxton Hicks really bad. My cervix felt like it was 10 feet wide and the cramping was really starting to hurt. After that shower and hitting the bed, I was OUT!
We pretty much knew we weren't getting up early so we got an extended checkout time and left the hotel around 12:30pm. We stayed in Orlando most of the afternoon, had breakfast and did a little shopping.

I got home around 9pm last night. Completely exhausted, drained, wore out, beat...ya get the picture?!?! Today I can't say I'm doing much of anything. It's cold as #(@^* outside!!!

Howdy Loyal Readers!

Hello to my loyal readers! I've been well the last few days. I got tons of housework complete, orders finalized and other little things here and there done. I completed a full itinerary for Princess' birthday party and I have a full listing of all supplies, locations for each and misc. things I need to order! I'm glad that is done!!

We sold our car on Tuesday, it was put in the paper that morning and sold mid-afternoon!! Husker took an entire day Wednesday Truck shopping and we finally found the one he wanted, unfortunately it was in South Carolina! We went to playgroup Thursday morning to spend some time with our friends, took care of business at one of our banks and headed to S.C. with money to burn! LOL

We came home with a 2005 Silverado, I think he's pretty happy with it...now, can I just get a new van? :D

I did lots of shopping today for our trip tomorrow to Sea World. The kids are so excited! It's Spooktacular time so they also get to do a little bit of Trick or Treating. I think there's about 8 or 9 of us going so it should be a lot of fun!!

I've got dinner cooking so this will be my last entry till Sunday or Monday probably.

Blogging Break

I'm going to try and take a blogging break for a little bit. I just didn't want to stop posting after my last two entries. Things are okay. After about 4 hours of draining my eyes last night I think I finally got a lot of my frustrations and emotions out. I do blame my hormones, I've never been this emotional pregnant and it's been horrible.

I have so much to do! I really need to get this house in order. I still have pictures to hang and a yard sale to have to get the crap out of here. I need to finish planning Princess' party, she'll be 5 so this is a big milestone, I'm going to make it an awesome party! I have to get things ready for our playgroup's Halloween Party, then there's Halloween and the Fall Festival here. Not to mention I have a ton of other things to take care of and I've been doing tons of orders for banners.

It'll be a juggle but as long as I stay focused I can do it!

Yay! Cake!

I don't know why that is the title of my entry but it has stuck in my head! (Thanks Cubanita and of course Kirstie Alley!)

I didn't get to bed till 4am. Lil'Buddy wanted to go potty, play, take a bath and then I had to sing to him. Maybe he senses a new baby coming and he's trying to get his Mommies-Worth! Husker came in this morning and the shower woke me around 7:15. I got up and talked with him for a few minutes then went back to lay down. He snored the entire time, I had to push him to go to the couch! :(
Lil'Buddy decided to whine for the next 2 hours, nothing was going to get him back to sleep. Then the phone rang at 9:45am or so...someone from the friggen Naval Hospital?? I didn't answer! Lil'Buddy went back to sleep so I spent the next couple of hours chatting with Cubanita...she's so damn funny!!! I'm hooked on Mrs. Prindables website!

I'm planning Princess' birthday party today! It's going to be so much fun! She wants a Cinderella theme, so we're going to incorporate that into a costume party! We're getting a Castle bounce house if we can and her cake is going to be so awesome!!! I won't spill the beans on it yet, I want to make sure it can be made.

We're heading out in a few minutes to get our gym memberships. We're comparing the YMCA and Powerhouse Gym. The pricing is great here. Husker gets a corporate discount at both, so for the 'Y' it's only $22/mo. and at Powerhouse it's $32/mo. and both include free childcare, all classes, etc... That's more than 1/2 the price of the 'big city'. There are some advantages to living in the swamp! :)

The Power of Movies

Yesterday I gave up cleaning or working on my orders, I just wanted to sit and watch a little TV. I fell into the last 15 mins. of Steel Magnolias. I've seen this movie a hundred times. Isn't it funny how you can watch a movie several times and each time it can effect you differently? Last night it was the ending when she went into labor at the Easter Hunt and all of her friends were right there to help get her off to the hospital. I just started to cry. Okay so I know I'm hormonal and I'm usually not a very overly 'emotional' person but this really got to me. Why do movies have to portray such friendships when honestly that does not and will not ever exsist in most peoples lives? That movie portrays 6 or 7 women who are all there for each other thru the ups and downs even when with each other yet they still have a bond that remains to be just as thick as blood.

I think every woman longs to have those bonding friendships that last a lifetime. But why do we when we know it's 'too good to be true'? My mom always told me as I was growing up, "Sweetie, there is no such thing as a best friend". I always hated when she said that to me because in my mind it wasn't so! As an adult, many years later I see the truths in her statements, although I'm still not completely sold, I do see how she would think so.

Now that I've moved a little further from our friends I get a little frustrated at how easily I feel we've been forgotten. I went to the park hoping maybe to meet a friend, didn't happen. I've gone to the scrapbook store, grocery stores, mall and nothing. I even thought what if we have a little 'playgroup' here for just once a week maybe I could meet someone ... did the advertising, flyers, emails....and again, nothing. I am thankful that I'm not too far away to drive to the 'big city', I'm thankful that I do have a few friends that have helped out when I needed it and I am thankful for someone who calls me regularly just to see how I'm doing. But why isn't it enough?

Damn that movie...

My banner business is booming...once again! I don't know why I ever thought about taking a "job", when I advertise I get tons of business and new accounts! Just this week after one advertisement I got 12 orders! Not to mention a new account with a monthly service! WooHoo! This is year #5 for me doing this, I guess I should stick with what I'm good at huh?!

Lil'Buddy Brag!!

Yesterday I was changing Lil'Buddy's clothes and was signing a song to him. He loves when I sing to him, and I could sing anything! So I started with the ABC's...he's just looking at me with a huge smile, bedazzled in a way and I can hear him singing the song almost in a whisper.

So I get up and go into the Kitchen where he and Princess start playing around. All the sudden he starts singing his ABC's and does them PERFECT A to Z! Ok, I feel like a horrible Mom when I say that he's 28 months old and I have never heard him say them ALL! I thought, when the hell did this happen!?!?!

He can count past 20 and now knows his ABC's....next it'll be his drivers license right?!

Our Anniversary Day

Well our day didn't start off to be the greatest, Husker was called in for the 1st shift which meant my entire day had to be rearranged! When I heard the phone ring I got up, he had just gotten home from work and was going right back in. He obviously had been shopping at the crack of dawn! There were beautiful flowers in a vase on the dining table along with my gifts and a card. He really can be the sweetest man! After he got home around 3pm he had a little time to nap before heading out on our date.

We dropped the kids off at LadyBugs house and went to the movies. We saw 'The History of Violence'...it was a good movie, and something to watch without the kids. Afterwards we headed to P.F. Changs for dinner. It was actually really cheap! We thought it was going to be really pricey but it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't! LOL We ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps to start. Those were super! Since it is Family Style dining we were able to share our dishes. Husker ordered the Mongolian Beef and I ordered the Mango Chicken. After dinner we headed to the Cheesecake Factory for cheesecake!! :) Yum!

We picked up the kiddos, they had a blast with LadyBug and the kids. (Thank you for watching them!) The ride home wasn't bad, I picked up a coffee and drove home while the rest of the van snoozed away!

Today Husker is off and is out doing yardwork. I have some design orders that were sent through last night and paid for so I'll have a busy afternoon!!

Busy Day!

It's been somewhat of a busy day today! Husker was finally home so we enjoyed being with him this afternoon. I gave both him and Lil'Buddy haircuts, they were much needed! We got dressed and went out for errands and lunch. I finally got Husker's Anniversary gift...it isn't much, but I had such a hard time thinking of what to get him! He has EVERYTHING he would ever ask for, besides the Viper and well, I can't do that one! LOL

I found out on the way home that I won the layout contest at the scrapbook store! That was very exciting and shocking news! You would have thought I won a million dollars the way I reacted! So, I guess my layout gets to stay in the store for the rest of the week.

When we got home I had a few design orders so I got those finished! I miss making my banners! I stopped advertising when I got really busy with the playgroup since that was more of a priority for me. Now that I have a little more time on my hands I guess it wouldn't hurt to do what I love and make some $$ while I'm doing it. I've also thought about making candles! An old friend of mine and I used to make them all the time...I really enjoyed it!

Well that's been my day! Tomorrow is our Anniversary! We've been married 5 years and together over 6!! Where has the time gone?!?

Conspiracy?

You have GOT to be kidding me right? Conspiracy Theories?

Why on Earth does the media insist on interviewing the most uneducated, ignorant people in our country? And why on Earth would you even want to spread this hanous rumor that the levees in New Orleans were "blown up", "torn down" and "purposely flooded" to rid the city of the "poor black people". Do these people not realize that their own Mayor is BLACK? Hello People! Wake the HELL up! And would someone PLEASE just take Jesse Jackson away, please. He is the most annoying person I've ever seen on TV.

The government did not intentionally blow up the levees. The Taliban was not involved in routing a Hurricane to New Orleans and organizing a levee break.

I'm sure that the thousands upon thousands of industries and businesses saw this as an opportunity to LOSE money just to get out of the city of New Orleans. Please!

C'mon...this just makes me sick. At this rate, these people don't deserve to have their lives and homes rebuilt back in New Orleans, anyone who would make such accusations doesn't deserve to live there!

Monday Schmunday

Today has been a typical Monday. Not much happenin'!
I got a phone call that woke me about 8:30am, it was a pending member in the playgroup making sure it was okay to go today. I didn't answer because I just woke and didn't recognize the number. I tried to lay back down but couldn't sleep. I got up and sent out a ton of emails to pending members, expired members, existing non-active members...the work is never done! Had a nice chat on the phone with Princess Di then I got sucked into E.R. and ended up crying like a baby. Finally it was passed noon and neither of my kids were awake, they were peacefully sleeping! I hung some of Princess' clothes and put a load of laundry in the wash.

They finally got up around 12:30-12:45 and hungry for pancakes! :) Mommy's speciality! They've been gems all day! After their breakfast they got dressed and picked up their rooms, watched a little bit of Disney then went outside to ride bikes and chase bubbles. I finally opened up Lil'Buddy's bubble blower he got for his birthday. It's Buzz Lightyear...they had a blast with that thing!

Husker is snoozing. He worked a double again so he needs to sleep the rest of the evening to go back to work tonight. I plan on cooking dinner in a few hours, there's nothing else for me to do around the house though. I'm sad the mail didn't run today, I had some good movies coming from Netflix!

Weird Day

I've had a really weird day.
It's been boring and lonely.
I'm moody with the kids.
Husker worked a double and we had plans.
The house is clean so I'm bored.
I'm just waiting for Desperate Housewives to come on.
Then bedtime so another boring day can begin tomorrow.

Uncomfortable!

I'm getting to the point of being uncomfortable when I sleep or sit. I know I'm only 4 1/2 months but I'm pooching out like crazy. I think in the last couple of days the baby grew 6 inches! lol I have to sleep on a certain side with my pillow under me or between my legs. I can't lay on my back because I can't breathe if I do. When I sit in a chair or on the sofa I have to sloutch down because it's too uncomfortable to sit up straight.

Tonight while cooking dinner I got black pepper up my nose and it was never-ending sneezing...well you can just imagine what happened then. Already! Geez!

Anyway, it's all of the things I had prepared myself for but didn't expect now. I've never worn maternity clothing this early either so I'm a little bummed about that too. I was excited this afternoon when Ms. Cuba and I went to a local boutique and browsed the cutest things!! I can't wait to shop for baby clothes and all of the other little things. :)

Spicing things up...

I always write out a menu of meals I'm cooking for dinner each week. It's posted on the refrigerator where Husker can take a look and where I can keep in mind what we're having. This week (starting today) I decided this would be the week that I should spice things up a bit, everything on the calendar are new main dishes!

Saturday - Caramel Apple Pork Chops, Pasta, Green Beans, Hawaiian Rolls
Sunday - Chicken Verde Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Corn
Monday - One Pot Salsa Beef Skillet, Rice
Tuesday - Garlic Beer Steaks, Squash Casserole
Wednesday - Going out to dinner


That's all I have thus far. Tonight we had the Pork Chops...and they were so good! Husker usually doesn't like a sweet taste on his meats but he really liked these and the kids ate them up! I'm really excited about the three other dishes, it's good to have a change in the menu every now and again!

The entire house needs disinfecting. I tried as much as I could but
when you're sick you can only do so much! I have to run out for more Bleach,
not a good thing to run out of!

Sometime inbetween all of this cleaning I'm heading out for a Manicure/Pedicure!
Lil'Buddy and Husker need haircuts. Princess needs some 'Mommy Time'...so I may take
her with me when I run errands.

You think it's possible that I may deserve to just hire someone to come in and clean my house?

22 Weeks To Go!

I had my monthly OB appointment today. We had gone to the wrong office so we had to rush over to the older one. As soon as we got there my doctor had to run out for a delivery! He has delivered both of my kiddos, so I've been seeing him for almost 6 years! In all of that time this is the first that he's ever had to skip out on one of my appointments, so I couldn't be upset!

I did however get to see one of the other doctors, he was really nice! Everything is going great! I'm almost 17 1/2 weeks now! He did ask if I've been eating healthy, apparently I've lost some weight (no surprise since I didn't eat for 3 days!). I explained that I just got over a nasty virus and that made him feel better, that at least it wasn't me not eating or gaining weight.

Husker got to feel the baby kick last night. He was super active and moving all around. It's so crazy that I am feeling him much more early than I did with the others!

So that's my OB update. Everything is good and well!!

Wowzers!!

Wow...it seems like forever since I've been online! For those that aren't around me much I've been sick. Sicker than sick. DOG sick!

Sunday we got home from staying over at Flower & Safety Dad's house. Bunco ran a little late and I felt too tired to drive home. So the kids and I pulled out what seems to be our bed away from our beds! So once we were home I didn't feel too well. I couldn't really pin point what it was, my head certainly ached and I wasn't willing to cook so Husker took over in that department. I watched DH then fell asleep. Monday morning was the hell of all mornings. We all woke up (minus Lil'Buddy) with the virus from hell. Husker and I should have taken up stock in Charmin because we disposed of enough tissue, we used an entire forest worth!
Princess just didn't feel well. Her tummy hurt, she wouldn't eat much, just wanted to sleep. Lil'Buddy pretty much bounced off the walls for 3 days!

There were times when I didn't even know what day it was. Husker was so delirious he told me in bed one night that he had a cherry filled donut and it pissed me off! Hello! I'm so sick that I can't eat a darn thing and you want to talk about donuts?!?! Tonight over dinner I mentioned it again and he looked at me like I was the crazy one....he never had a cherry filled donut!

Anyway, last night was the final evening for me. I had cleaned out my system... there was nothing left in there, I had to get better! I tried eating a Larry's Sub, but that came back up a few hours later. Lil'Buddy went running to Husker telling him "Mommy talk to the toilet"...that's my new code for "vomiting".

Today I am thrilled to report that I was able to eat lunch AND dinner at Chilis and kept it both down!! Though my eyes must be way bigger than my stomach because I couldn't eat too much, I guess that's good though...I've been such an overeater lately!

So that's it...I'm better, Lil'Buddy is okay, Husker is about 90% there. We're still battling a fever with Princess. It just started yesterday with her.
Hopefully it's not raining tomorrow, I'd like to get out and maybe take the kids to the park!
