Water Aerobics

Tonight I'm venturing out with the girls for Water Aerobics! This should be quite an adventure!!

**Edited**
Damnit, they canceled it. Well, it was a good excuse for coffee. Hopefully the same 7 will show up again next week! Nic, I hope they got your 'message'! lol

Where'd the Time Go?

I haven't blogged in about 4-5 days now. Friday was our monthly Moms Night Out. We met at a beautiful suite hotel for Cocktail hour, afterwards a driver took us to dinner. We went back to the hotel after dinner to "party". Husker so graciously accommodated us all for the evening by paying for the suite! We had some drinks, played games, talked, some did scrapbooking, etc... It was a really fun night! I think the most we had in the suite were about 12 of us!

Saturday we went to a birthday party at Gymboree. What fun! I really wish I had gotten the kids involved in Gymboree when they were younger, they had a blast! That evening the kids and I enjoyed a quite night at home; Pizza and Movies.

Sunday we took a little road trip to Georgia. We have found some nice investment properties that we wanted to look at. We had some friends over that evening for Game Night.

Monday was our playgroup Family Cookout for Memorial Day. We grilled at the beach and enjoyed a little funtime in the water before the storm brewed. Although we ended up getting ran out of the park the kids still had a great time, and we got to eat!!
By the time we arrived at home it was sunny again, so the kids and I went swimming over at a friend's house.

Overall it was a great weekend; long but great!!

Madness and Mayhem

Today was a fun day, other than being hump-day, it was playdate at the house, day. Babysitting five kids, day. Never getting a moment to sit, day. Stevie (inside joke) and Baby R came over to play, so Baby makes six!

It was fun, I have to admit. Coming from a large family, I enjoy the constant running, jibber-jabber and pitter-patter around a house. The kids played, drew art with chalks, ate. Ate. And ate again. lol! By 6pm, we were down to three and a close of the day was in sight. Stevie and Baby R left for home around 7pm and Husker showed up from work around 7:15pm.

Watched American Idol...can I just say WOOHOO GIRLS ROCK?! GO CARRIE! I have been a big fan of Carrie since the beginning. I'm just sad that I didn't get the AI Crown this season...but I will humbly bow to Nikki! :)

I really want to catch some Zzzz's early tonight so I made a drink. I rarely EVER drink at home, especially alone but we had these small Airlines type bottles of Rum from last Saturday's Cocktail party that looked really yummy!

Here's my closing for the night:

Princess joins me over at my desk. "Momma, can I have a drink?"...and before I can answer she picks my glass off the desk and proceeds to drink!

"NO!" I exclaimed, "You can't drink that". "But, why, I'm thirsty", Princess answers.

"Because, it's only for Mommy, it may make you sick or go to sleep, it has Mommy magic in it".

Oh well, we don't want to go to sleep now do we? She happily declines the drink.

10 Things...

I'm stealing this from another blog, sadly I forget the blog from which I read the post. It was 10 Things they loved about their DH.

10 Things I Love About Husker
(in no particular order)
1. Loving
2. Attentive
3. Hilarious (he always makes me laugh)
4. High Morals & Values
5. Optimistic (he finds good in all things)
6. Wonderful Husband
7. Fantastic Father
8. Great Supporter
9. Caring
10. The Bestest Friend a Wife could have!

Bubbles, Bubbles...BUBBLES!!

I always knew kids loved bubbles, after all, as a child I loved them... who doesn't? Today we had a very cool playdate, Bubbles in the Park! Our group purchased an automatic Bubble Blower (great investment) so we put it to use again today. It was a great turnout, about 15 of us and 21 kids so that adds up to be a lot of bubbles, you think?! The kids had so much fun and it was a gorgeous park day!

Where, Oh Where Are My Panties?

Where, oh where could my sexy panties be?
Oh where, oh where could they be?

Fore the ones I adorne are holey as hell.
My hubby is begging a plea...

"Please send her, her panties, I beg of you oh please.
She wears the same ones over and over, you see me on my knees?"

I am begging once more, with my knees to the floor,
She needs new bloomers, one pair or more.

** I'm in a weird quirky mood tonight! Jayme thought it was funny!! I'm still looking for my April Exchange from MO! lol

Let me add that to my Resume...

So Husker calls me this evening. Usual conversation. Then, out of the blue, he asks "do you know when the van is due for an oil change?"

Okay...as if I could add ANYMORE to my resume here. Not only am I a mother of 2, cook, housewife, maid, playgroup owner/director, board poster, blogger, graphic designer, etc.. But I should also add MECHANIC to my resume!? WTF?

I thought that stayed on the list of "Husker Duties". You know. Trash, Mechanics, Handy-Dandy Stuff.

Men!

**Edited**
Well, I guess it's 'officially' on my resume. Today (6/1/05) I took the Van in for an oil change. How was I to know that I had to pull the Van into the 'line'? After parking and unloading three kids I was told to pull into the lane where the other cars were. Did I see a sign? Um, no! Anyway, it was not an ideal thing for me to do and hopefully won't have to in the future. Also to add, the waiting room was full of women! Go figure!

Weekend of Parties!

The first weekend of many. I knew they were coming, I held on tightly for as long as I could. It never fails. Once Summer begins my calendar becomes overflowing with parties, dates, family outings, barbques....you get the idea!

So, this past weekend we started our 'Party Proem' off with a Birthday party. Slip 'n Slide, Bounce Castle...the works. Of course, without question the kids LOVED.IT. That evening Husker and I had a date. Yes. A date! It would be our first night out, alone, together in about 5 months. We attended a Cocktail party that was thrown by a co-worker of Husker. The house was GORGEOUS! A beautiful New England type house on the water. The backyard was full of torches, patio tables, umbrellas and chairs. The perfect place for entertaining. It was a nice, relaxing evening. We were home by 10pm.

Sunday, another party. It was a birthday party for another friend of Princess & Lil'Man. Although it was a pool party we couldn't swim so we were lucky that they did cake and presents first, then swimming :) Later that afternoon we attened the playgroup's Family Outing. A good ole American Baseball game! Yipee!! We LOVE baseball!!

It was a wonderful, fun-filled weekend!

Do you smell it?

Do you smell it? It's the scent of burning flesh. I've resorted to tanning. Sure, I know it's bad for me. Sure, I know that I'm cooking my internal organs. Can't I just do it for a little while to achieve that perfect glowing tan? Ahhh sure! So, they have this deal, 5 days of tanning for $5, can't beat that! Anywho, I'll see how it goes. I haven't tanned since I was 17 and getting ready for Prom! I certainly didn't miss the after-smell!

I figure since I'm not making it to the Beach Playdates weekly like I wanted that I would tan for a little bit to make up for it. It wasn't bad, I did get a little red on the bum and chest, seems to be setting in nicely though! :)

If anything, it was worth the 20 minutes of absolute complete serenity!

My Birthday Means...

Your Birthdate: August 12

Being born on the 12th day of the month (3 energy) is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life.

The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental.

There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, sometimes "couldn't care less" attitude.

You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression.

Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing.

You are energetic and always a good conversationalist.

You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters.

Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about.

You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive.

You are subject to rapid ups and downs.

Monday to Hump-Day

Monday I took it pretty easy. I have Aspen again for the month so I wanted to give her a day or two to readjust to the environment again. I could tell she missed us, she was so happy to spend the day with Princess & Lil'Man. We drove to OP for a Playdate. The kids got to make their own Pizzas at Dominos. They watched the guy in amazment as he tossed the dough and spread the sauce, then the rest was up to them. Great job kiddos, the pizza was yummirific. Later in the evening I watched the Bachelor, damnit Charlie, why in HELL did you pick Krisily? GAWD she is so loud, obnoxious and completely fake. Yuck, Yuck! She reminds me of a girl I (unfortuantely) knew.

Tuesday was a la-ha-zyyyy day! I.did.absolutely.nothing. :) Ahhh what a relief!! I did, however, cook a 'cena deliciosa'!! Las enchiladas, Frijoles Refritos y Arroz , YUM! American Idol rocked, Carrie and Bo carried the show.

Wednesday, lunch at Ted's Montanta Grill with friends and the kids and 5 1/2 hours of SHOPPING! Yes. SHOPPING! Now I have the Sephora-Sickness Une montagne de richesse pourrait guérir seulement!. I must go back. SOON! I tried on my "Bree-Wear" at Ann Taylor Loft. I'm such a Bree, you just have to laugh and learn to love it! Idol results came in... Scott got the boot, it's about damn time!
I actually got about a hour of snuggle time with Husker. That was so sweet, I miss him during the week. I really appreciated the hour sacrifice he made; sleeping vs. snuggling :)

A great week beginning can only have a great week ending.
