I, Mary, have lost all my baby weight. All of it. You don't know the happiness within me!!! I fit comfortably in some nice cropped pants I haven't been able to wear in, oh, about 18 months or so! HOORAY! I had seized all shopping till I got down to at least the pre-baby size and I'm finally there. Husker has noticed it also, he has been throwing me compliments each time we see each other... which is really nice! Something to make me happy today!

My 500th
It calls for a celebration of sorts, my 500th post. I'm not in much of a celebratory mood but hey, a party's a party, right?
I'll just shoot the breeze...
Picked up a magazine today while waiting in the lobby of my eye doc. It said if you want to make friends in a new group setting to gossip. That's right, gossip. Juicy, dirty, mean gossip is the glue to a good bond. Isn't that some shit?! Sure, let's make best friends with someone who's talking shit about someone else...it doesn't take an idiot to know that, ah hem, you're next. There's a winner for ya.
In the duration of my 500 postings I've come to realize that I suck at writing. I may have *some* creative talents, but writing is not one of them. I envy those who have that creative flow of words. When they know just what to say and when. Nah, I don't have it.
It's almost been a year since I've had any "drama" in my life {besides Ms. Biotch next door}. That's a good thing huh?! The "white trash", as I like to call them, have moved on.... finally. I have felt over the last couple of years that after each bout that little pieces of me have been taken away. Like I've lost tiny smidgen of my spirit. They just sucked it out of me. I had tons of energy then... bring it on.... not anymore. I feel lucky that I didn't let it {them} drag me down to a point where I would never get back up. But even now, all things aren't the same. Sometimes I feel like I'm being judged or 'studied'; every move, every word, every thing. Whatevah. Not even sure why I brought that subject up, it just popped in there.
Well. The notice goes in on Friday. 13 boxes have been packed. Storage Unit has been secured. I'm nervous as hell. I'm anxious. I'm scared. Ever feel that you've been drawn away for so long that things cannot and never will be...the same again? It's one thing to be isolated and alone {here} and be isolated and alone {there}. I can't imagine you know what the hell I'm talking about....more babble.
... raise your glass and say "cheers".....to 500 more!

Dude!
This morning the kids and I took Husker's van to Tire Kingdom for a strut check, tire rotation and oil change. We sat quietly in the waiting room watching Loony Toons. An older man walked in to top off his coffee and walked out. About 30 mins. later he walks back through to the restrooms. He was in there quite a long time, obviously we know what he was doing, the never-ending pull of the toilet tissue wrestling through the dispenser was just one indication. His grunting would be another. He flushes (does NOT wash hands), opens the door and walks out.
Wait. He didn't wash his hands AND he didn't use the complimentary aersol can of air freshner after he unloaded? Dude. His SHIT was RANK! He didn't even turn on the vent and he left the door open.
I looked at Lil'Buddy and he covered his nose and mouth. I said, "it's stinky huh?", he mumbled a reply under his hand, "uh huh!"
We were FORCED out of the waiting room.... it was that bad! Dude... take your shit at home next time!!

Love these...
THINGS STRESSED WOMEN MIGHT SAY AT WORK
1. Okay, okay! I take it back. Unfuck you.
2. You say I'm a bitch like it's a bad thing.
3. Well, this day was a total waste of make-up.
4. Well, aren't we a damn ray of sunshine?
5. Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after.
6. Do I look like a people person?
7. This isn't an office. It's hell with fluorescent lighting.
8. I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.
9. Therapy is expensive. Popping bubble wrap is cheap. You choose.
10. Why don't you try practicing random acts of intelligence and senseless acts of self-control?
11. I'm not crazy. I've been in a very bad mood for 30 years.
12. Sarcasm is just one more service I offer.
13. Do they ever shut up on your planet?
14. Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't gone to sleep yet!
15. Back off!! You're standing in my aura.
16. Don't worry. I forgot your name too.
17. I work 45 hours a week to be this poor.
18. Look in my eyes.....Do you see one ounce of give-a-shit?
19. Wait...I'm trying to imagine you with a personality.
20. Chaos, panic and disorder. . . my work here is done.
21. Ambivalent? Well, yes! and no.
22. You look like shit. Is that the style now?
23. Earth is full. Go home.
24. Aw, did I step on your poor little itty bitty ego?
25. I'm not tense, just terribly, terribly alert.
26. You are depriving some village of an idiot.
27. If assholes could fly, this place would be an airport.

House Hunting.... SUCKS!
I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOO sick of House Hunting! Blue's last comment reminded me of the post I was going to make today. I can tell you almost every house in every area that is for sale. Why? Because both Husker and I log in to several websites each day, search around, email listings, etc... I finally told him I had to stop. It has been such a time consumer and who knows WHEN we're actually going to BUY. It could be January, it could be March, it could be April. I have no idea.
The one thing I DO know is that we have it narrowed down to two areas; San Marco or Argyle/Oakleaf that way Princess would be going to one of either schools, which are the best in both counties.
I forgot to mention the 'offer' Husker got last week. After their 'graduation' someone approached him and offered a $60k bonus if we'd relocate to Baltimore. Baltimore. Seriously? Baltimore? And only $60k? That would be chump change on a nice house from what we found. JC, how far are you from Baltimore?

We're Home!!
We finally made it back... after 10 days of visiting Husker! It was a little tough staying in the hotel, but we made it. The good thing is we have a weekly housekeeper, fresh towels and linens anytime we need them and if we need a 'refresher' they'll come in any time...hey, that's not too shabby! :D
Saturday we spent the day house hunting. Went pretty well, we found a few that we really like, now we'll just have to keep an eye on them. Sunday was Princess' Pottery Painting Party. She had 3 friends meet us at Pottery Works, they picked out their pottery and went to town. You should have seen their 'masterpieces'... pretty funny! Monday we went to an Infant Playdate and the Mall Playdate afterwards. That was Housekeeping day so I wanted to stay out as long as I could. Tuesday we went to a Cookie Decorating Playdate, which the kids just LOVED... I got great pics of that one. Wednesday was the Kids Kampus Playdate and lunch at Panera's. We did all our shopping for Thanksgiving that day and Coffee afterwards with a few friends.
Thursday we spent the day at a friends house. Her and her family are from South Africa so they had never had a 'traditional' American Thanksgiving Dinner. It was devine!! The kids had so much fun so it was a really great day.
Friday morning I got up early and went shopping by myself. That was fun... it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I finished shopping for Princess and SweetPea, still need a few more things for my Lil'Buddy!
Yesterday I went cropping with some friends for a few hours. I ended up getting 4 layouts finished! Today we ran some errands and packed up. It was weird walking in the door this evening. I'll be so glad when we're moved back. The biggest obsticle is finding a house, getting things settled and moved... that, I'm not looking forward to!
Anywho...just getting the kids in bed. If you're reading my blog and not leaving any comments it would be nice to know you're around and logging on. :)
Hope everyone had a great week and Thanksgiving!!!

Haven't posted...
Not sure why I haven't posted since last week.
1. Retreat was awesome. I had a great time with the girls. I got 12 pages finished and I was happy with all of them. Did lots of shopping during and after the retreat. Met some really nice ladies from all over and exchanged email/info with all of them. Already planning the next retreat in March!
2. Princess had a nice birthday. Husker took her out all day. Sunday my sister and I stopped and picked up a few things for a little 'surprise party'.
3. My neighbor is still a BIOTCH.
4. Watched a couple of movies this week. It only took me three days to finish them both.
5. Went shopping today. Picked up a few things for next week.
6. Planned out the entire Thanksgiving Dinner.
7. Leaving for Jax after school on Friday. Princess has all next week off so we'll be there till the 26th. WooHoo!
8. Got news that CandleLady will FINALLY get to meet all of us. It's only been 4 1/2 years too long (or is it 5 yrs??).
9. Did I mention that my neighbor is still a BIOTCH? I gave her a good stare-down today. That was fun! I gave her the hairy eyeball. I think she could actually see me envisioning the slap across her face.
10. I need a drink.

WOOHOO
The weekend is finally here!! Not just ANY weekend. The weekend I've been planning since May!! I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get dirty. They have lots of things planned for the retreat including a PJ Party! My sister will be flying into Orlando this evening. She is SweetPea's babysitter for the weekend and will be flying home on Monday morning.
The only thing I'm NOT excited about is missing Princess' birthday tomorrow. Husker has lots of things planned for them though, so she should enjoy her day. We're going to have cake, etc.. on Sunday evening and then a little party for her next weekend with some of her friends.
I foresee a crazy, crazy, wild weekend ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a great one!

what a crap ass day
so i was feeling bad about my neighbor, knowing something was going on with her. she ignored me this afternoon, picked her kids up without telling me she was, and completely gave me the cold shoulder. later in the afternoon she knocked on my door asking if we could talk.
her talk was her asking if something was going on between me and her husband. you can't imagine the pit that was in my stomach. complete and utter shock. disbelief. anger. hurt. confused. i could go on and on.
of course i told her NO. i assured her that i would never ever do anything like that. i mean, her husband is nice and all but i'm just not that way. i've been on the other end of a cheating spouse. it is NOT fun. i told her that he in no way had ever come on to me, spoke to me inappropriatly or had ever crossed the line. if he had of, she would certainly know it for sure!
she thanked me for being honest and truthful with her... this is after her raising her voice and yelling at me. i left the conversation in tears.
it has been the most awkward 4 1/2 hours that i think i've ever had. no more carpool. no more friendly neighbors. no more socialization.
guess i should be grateful that we're moving. guess i should feel sorry for her husband who was getting yelled at outside this evening. funny how things begin and end with people. i would have never seen this coming. add another to the list.

So here's what's going on
Yesterday's trip to Jax threw a wrench in my week, eh, everything is going okay but it was unexpected. Monday Princess' school called, she wasn't feeling well but there was no fever so I suggested to wait till after lunch and see how she was doing then. They called at 10:45 saying she still wasn't feeling well and now had a fever. So I get her and she came home to sleep. That afternoon her fever went to 103. I did everything I could to help it come down and to ease her pain... then her ear started draining really bad. I mean BAD! I have never see anything like that, ever! It soaked her pillow and her hair. So by 4pm I was making a doctor appointment and calling to cancel her game that night. We drove into Jax and got there around 7:45, got everyone settled and then Husker suggested that I take SweetPea and get out for a bit so I went to Coffee Night with some of the girls.
Yesterday morning I took her to the appointment. She had been feeling SO much better!! Still drainage. They couldn't see her eardrum to see how big the hole was but there was no swelling of any kind and no sign of built-up infection (hence the draining). Her temp was at 99 that morning. Docs gave us some meds... her first time ever on antibiotics and some ear drops. She's having a hard time hearing in that ear :( We go back in a few weeks.
After the visit we stopped and got the prescription filled, shopped at Target, met ScrappinMom and 1 of her 3 at Chick-fil-a for lunch and playtime, stopped at the scrapbook store then headed to the hotel. On our way back to the Swamp I stopped at the Mall for the evening playdate and let the kids play there for a while. We got home at 9:45 last night... POOPED!
Are you still with me?????
So, here's what I'm trying to accomplish today and tomorrow:
Clean house and do Laundry
Pack overnight bags for myself
Pack overnight bags for kids
Gather all scrap supplies
Call to reschedule Eye appt.
Call to get Dr. Note faxed to school
Call to get lunch account totals
Pack up Landon's room (it's all toys in there now)*two boxes down!
Print out maps to Orlando for Hotel and Airport
Burn CD of favorite layouts
Make my Muddy Buddies for the Chocolate Swap
Princess' last game is Thurs. (we missed 2 already this week)
Make a run to the store for weekend food/snacks/drinks
Cancel 2nd Hotel Reservation
I know there's more... but my brain is fried!!

Checking Tires isn't fun
Okay well I know a little bit about cars. I've had my fair share of helping out... when I was 16 I helped my then car enthusiast boyfriend change out a carburetor and 'tweak' his engine (um, really it was just his engine)! I've changed numerous tires and even helped change the oil once!
So last night once I got into town the check tires light and indicator comes on. So I stop at a gas station and call Husker. I wanted to clarify that the tires should register at about 32-35 on the air guage. He confirms and stays on while I check the air. I put my money in and begin to "fill" the tire since it was low (at 20 lbs). I felt like such a big dork when I realized I wasn't even holding the handle down to actually "pump" the air into the tire. Needless to say I wasted half my time and air!! LOL He was on the other end of the phone LAUGHING at me!!!

Wow
I was pulling up some old posts from last year just to look back and see what all we had for Thanksgiving last year. Then I found this post about the year and what I hope/wish for in the new year 2006.
MY HOPES/WISHES for the NEW YEAR, 2006:
That my family and friends stay happy and healthy all year long! I think everyone is pretty happy and/or healthy!
I live through house renovations. Well the house didn't sell, so I guess I 'lived' huh?
I survive with three kids. So far, so good!
Have a better, closer relationship with my mom, brothers and sisters. This HAS happened! Since my trip in July I speak to all my siblings weekly and my mom and I are at an understanding finally!
Let everyone around me always know how much they're appreciated. Well, I've tried, but failed with some.
Teach Princess to read. She's almost reading books all by herself!
Help Lil'Buddy with "preschool". He can spell his name, write his name!
Nurse baby at least all year. Still going strong!!
Scrapbook a crap load of layouts! Well not sure if it's been a 'crap load' but I've scrapped a lot compared to past years. With the retreat coming up I should have well over 100 done this year!
A new van. WOO HOO got that!!!

A mole what?
What the f#*! is a Mole Cricket? Really! Apparently they are all over our yard. They love to dig in the dirt and make these veiny tracks all over. I got to see my first Mole Cricket and they are NOT pretty people...

So the pest control company was here last Friday and sprayed the premises. The MC's (aka: mole cricket) are slowly dying and I can see them twitching and jerking their little legs for days...but they're just NOT dying... what the hell is in that shit?!

So where did I leave off...
It's been about a week since I've updated. Guess it doesn't matter too much because not many read my blog anymore! Let's see, where did I leave off...
Last weekend we went to Jax. We had our playgroup party on Friday. That was a lot of fun. I'm not sure on the final count but I believe there were about 170 there. We had lots of food, desserts and drinks. The kids got their TOT'ing buckets packed full of goodies. We had about 5 different crafts for the kids and several games. It was a nice evening that ended at a good hour, with family time left in the evening.
Saturday we went house hunting. A guy that's in school and works with Husker rode with us since he's house hunting too. He is a funny guy.. very cool and is single. I told him too bad I really don't have any single-kidless friends. We went to lunch at Smokey Bones, where he treated us... how NICE is that?!?!
That evening I went with a few from the scrap group to a crop. I got 4 pages finished...which is pretty good considering I usually yap the whole time! You can see some of my pages at my scrapblog.
Sunday we lounged around after a big breakfast at IHOP! I really wanted to go to the Awful Waffle House but Husker didn't want to go there...party pooper! The kids and I headed home around 5pm and then our week started.
Monday was a lazy day. I was completely exhausted! Tuesday was another somewhat lazy day... I'm getting older, it takes a few days to recoup apparently!! lol Husker surprised the kids and drove home after his classes so he could go TOT'ing with us! The kids were SO EXCITED!!! We went with our neighbors and their kids and then out to eat afterwards. Again, another very exhausting day! Husker drove home around 10:30 that evening. Wednesday wasn't anything special. The kids had early release so they were out at 12:30pm. Today was the Fall Festvial at Princess' school. We followed the neighbors who also brought 2 extra neighbor kids... so we had my 3, her 3 and 2 extras!! The kids jumped in the bounce houses and rode the slides. Went on a hayride, pony rides, cake walks (I was the only one to win a cake out of 9 of us trying!!!! WOOHOO me!!), etc.. It was a fun night!
So that's about it. You're fully caught up-to-date.
I just wanted to also say that my heart goes out to my dear friend who lost her mother today. I have grieved all day for you, have cried and wished that I could be there for you. If you read this, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please travel safe, stay strong and remember that I'm here if you need ANYTHING!!!!! Love you!!
