For My Blog Stalker

Who has nothing nice to say, especially about my well-rounded ass, I've done some homework for you. If this doesn't work, seek professional help immediately; if not for yourself but for the family you spread your toxic around.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your green eyed monster is destructive and should be quelled.

To test your green-eyed monster meter, answer these questions:

Do you always compare yourself to others?
Are you always coming up short?
Do you gloat when you think you outdid others?
When someone else succeeds, do you feel angry or spiteful?
Do others seem to always get what you want?
Do you wish you were somebody else?
Do you enjoy making others jealous of what you have or do?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, change is in order. While occasional competitive feelings can drive you to be your best, they cross the line to being unhealthy if that’s all that motivates you.

Jealousy directs evil thoughts to another, but the “monster” uiltimately does more damage to yourself. It consumes your self-esteem, sabotages your confidence, and concentrates your energy on negativity.

To slay the green eyed monster:

Switch your focus from others to you. Every time envy enters your mind (of either one of your personalities), switch your attention to what you can do to make your own life happier or to get what you want.

Be realistic. You may think the “grass is always greener” but everybody’s garden has patches of brown. Even a woman who is prettier or a man more successful has his or her own troubles. Diana became a Princess but the fairy tale was a nightmare.

Develop self-confidence. The roots of jealousy come from insecurity and low self-esteem. Whenever you get flooded with thoughts that someone else is better than you, do affirmations. Immediately turn your mind to wonderful things about yourself.

Recognize, and don’t repeat, the roots of your jealousy. Did your parents always compare you to your siblings or their friends’ children, asking, Why can’t you be as well-behaved as your sister, or get as good grades as the neighbor’s child? Living up to the Joneses was their problem, not yours.

Don’t constantly tell others that someone else is prettier, smarter, or more successful. Ultimately they might believe you.

Notice what it is about others that you envy (their confidence, style, attitude) and develop those traits as much as you can. What you admire in others is often what you really want for yourself. If you envy someone else’s personality, decide, “What can I play up about my good personality that people like?”

Change your belief system. Remember:

Someone having more than you does not mean you have less.

Other people have special qualities, so do you.

The more abundance around you, the more resources available for you. Live a life of abundance and you’ll have all you need and won’t have to be looking over your shoulder at others.

The PJ's Have Left the Building

And they weren't alone... a pair of earrings have accompanied them.
How do clothes just disappear from your home? You only wear them to bed, and sometimes only once or twice a week. If you're like me you have dresser drawers dedicated to sleepwear!

So my favorite gray capris have walked out along with a cute Express hot pink mini-tee and a brand new pair of silver hoop earrings Husker bought me for our Anniversary. I'm pretty sure the earrings were taken...and I know it's been a while. But now I'm baffled that these PJ's are MIA!

Oh where, oh where could my cute PJ's be... oh where, oh where could they be?

Shake it, Shake it, Shake it

Today we ventured to one of the coolest parks in town for the first edition of Musicals by Me, a series of playdates we're hosting. The kids got to make Maracas today...how fun!! Although, I didn't pay too much attention and over 'gooped' the maracas so 10 hours later and they're still drying, and boy am I paying for it!!

"Mom, are they done?" "Mom, can we paint the maracas yet?" "Mom, I want to play with my Maracaaaaaaaaaaas!!!"

Ok note to self: Pre-goop the Maracas the night before.

<:> Edited to state: Two days later Maracas were still not completely dry. This may be a weekend project! <:>

What is Your Celtic Horoscope?

You Are A Poplar Tree

People tend to look up to you, and it's a bit lonely at the top.
Inside, you are not always self confident, but you show great courage.
Mature and organized, you are reliable in any situation.
You tend to have an artistic or philosophical outlook on life.
You are very choosy in love and take partnership seriously.

Oh.My.God. She's SOOOO Adorable!!!

No one has any idea how much I love my daughter, well I deeply love all of my children, but Princess melts my heart every day. From the time she wakes up and comes running to find me "Mommy, Mommy, I'm up!" till the time she lays down for bed and squeezes me tightly and says "I love you so much Mommy"... I'm in awe!

My first daughter, growing up so fast, seems to learn a gazillion new things each day. She amazes me. I certainly couldn't have told you what a T-Rex looked like, how a butterfly escapes from his cacoon or in-depth details on how I should use my imagination like her. All this and only 4!

Last evening was one of those moments. The ones you want to record in your memory forever, the ones you want to vividly go back to daily.

She sweetly approaches me, takes my hand in hers and with a tilted head and gleeming eyes asks me, "Will you have this dance?"

The huge lump appears in my throat, the tear ducts are about to overflow (okay so I get caught up in the emotion) and I'm so honored that she chooses me for her dance. ME!

I proudly accept, bend down to my knees, take her hands into mine...and we dance.

In the Mind of a PsychoMom - A Not-So-Short Story

Folks, this story just got shorter. This was my private blog, I don't have (or didn't have) an audiance, it wasn't meant for said "PsychoMom" to find and read, or for her daughter to read, etc..

I do feel regret posting the story, and it was done out of anger. Anger that my life has become a tale for laughter, a tale of hatred and a tale of bashing. I stooped to that level and I'm slowly climbing back up the ladder.

Sometimes we sway, sometimes we do things we shouldn't. We're human. A person has a right to defend themselves, a person has a right to the freedom of speech but sometimes we cross that line with blinders on.

Back to my personal blogging. I hope that my new audiance can delete my link and go on about your lives prior to being drug into the middle of a "feud".

Now, the "Supermom" has to go cook dinner for her kiddos!!

Tooth-Tales

So last Wednesday I am playing with the kids, it was a long day... we had been to the beach all morning then stopped in at our favorite playarea to wind down and have lunch. With pure exhaustion I rub my eyes, my fingers melt down my face and towards my nostrils and this screaching pain strikes down my face and into a tooth, #13 to be exact! So, like a kid I decide to examine my tooth/mouth 'internally' (definitely not practicing what I preach of keeping your fingers out of your mouth) and I find this huge knot under my cheek bone at the very top of my gum above the same tooth.

I immediately call my dentist the next morning and get an appointment that afternoon. She takes a x-ray of the single tooth. I wait about 10 minutes and she comes back with the picture. She has me get up to take a looksie. She does this little snort laugh and asks me what I see... umm hello, did I go to Dental school? I see teeth... thatsaboutit! She tells me that this tooth has such a deep root that it's invaded my sinus cavity and has "hooked" itself in there. WHAT? I have that umm-hurr? look! As I express how digusting that is she assures me it isn't, well that's why she's the Dentist right?! hardy-har-har So this deep root has caused an infection in my sinus cavity (aka abcessed tooth).

So, next step... she refers me to an Endodontist, since it's so complex she doesn't feel adequet enough to perform the root canal. I get my copy of the x-ray, my referral slip and I go on my way.

Next day, I come down with a massive fever, the chills, achy body... the works! I'm positive it's from the infection. Saturday I wake up and the back side of the tooth has swollen also...meaning I have two abcesses on the same tooth! Ouch!

So today I spent the day calling Endodontists and made my appt. for this Thurs. for The.Dreaded.Root.Canal. Ugh, I hate dental visits!

Weekend Wowzers!

Last week was a great week. Lots of activities, the kids had tons of fun and of course I always enjoy being around my peeps! Friday was a great day! I found this fabulous skirt, the type that you put on and feel like you should be on vacation somewhere in the Western Caribbean. All I needed were some maracas and a sombrero!!

The kids had a fun playdate. We had a "Cook with Kids", though we didn't really cook, it was more of preperation with kids. The kids made Breakfast Pizzas and Crunchy Bananas for themselves. We had Quiche! Afterwards the mall was calling... I only bought Princess a shirt, I ended up not being in the greatest shopping mood afterall.

That night I came down with a fever, the chills, body aches, etc... the culprit... my tooth! Blasted tooth! It has a deep root, so deep it's invaded my sinus cavity and curled! Curled! Yes... curled! What the hell? So now I have not one but two abcesses, swelling and a curled root. Can we say ROOT CANAL? Nyquil was good to me that evening.

Saturday; Husker, Princess, Lil'Man and I ran errands, had lunch and went to the movies. We saw Sahara, it was pretty good but not what I had expected. We had a nice evening at home. Sunday was a lazy day. Husker worked on his website, I watched TBS most of the day, Princess & Lil'Man played games and cleaned the playroom.

Terrific Tuesday

Just another terrific day. We managed to get out before noon, fully dressed, no fighting or running away from a diaper change, backpack fully loaded and ready for a full adventure today. Picked up a friend and her two daughters and headed to the park. The playgroup had a great park day. Seven or eight mommies, 10+ kiddos and lots of priceless momments. We ventured to Ritas afterwards, and let me tell you if you have never had a Ritas then you just have no idea how addicting these things are! Things, you ask? Gilati's... creamy custard and Italian Ice! Oh.My.God. YUM!

We managed to drop in at the friends for a hour or so just to chat. Her husband was there, really nice guy. Lil'man chased the cat around, poor cat! We went home for a couple of hours then met more friends for family night at the good 'ole Chick-fil-a! Tonight the kids got to paint on the windows. Talk about perfect picture ops! Just imagine wrapped in orange aprons from Home Deopt with their little cups full of paint whiskfully painting an image some call art, I call masterpieces!! Thank goodness I got a few pictures!

Arrived home just in time for American Idol. Okay so you want my opinions;

Nadia .::. Her hair gets on every nurrrve in my body!! So it's distracting to me to hear her sing!
Anwar .::. He belongs on a cruise ship or better yet, back in the classroom. Nope...gotta go!
Scott .::. Ok, has a good voice but can give the look of death! Maybe a mean streak? Nahh, you don't say?
Anthony .::. Sometimes he's on, sometimes he's off. Just dunno!
Carrie .::. Girl ROCKED it! Even though she had a few slips, I think she showed how diverse she is!
Bo .::. Blah.
Constantine .::. Good lord would you find another look, please? The seductive thing is just getting creepy!
Vonzell .::. Um, okay...she seems a little too reserved or shy.

So, there you have it, my rundown! I pick Nadia to go this week.

Afterwards, hubby is awake and ready to go BACK to work! :( The 10 mins. weren't enough. Thank goodness for weekends though! I just finished sending out 70 emails to the playgroup members. That was really interesting. It really helped me to get to know everyone better too. I missed giving that personal touch!

The kids want to play, it's 1:30am... surprised?? Wonder if a nice, warm bath would help call the sheep?

I Must Share

My favorite picture of the evening...

Pamper Night

Saturday we had our monthly Moms Night In... it was a hit!! While sporting our favorite PJ's...me, Kelly, Nicole, Kathleen, Beth, April, Diane, Mandy, Tammy and Rebecca played Taboo, waxed our brows (well not everyone was brave enough to go under the wax), dipped into the parafin bath, slopped on some facial mud, ate way too much junk food, chased a snake, drank margaritas and laughed till we couldn't laugh anymore! I didn't get home till after 3am but it was well worth skipping a few hours of sleep.

It's so nice enjoying a MNI with good people....I'm so glad this is a monthly ritual!!! :)

The Magic of Disney

We just returned from our trip to Disney. It was the first for the kids and they were amazingly excited. We were able to see just about everything in the park in the close to 14 hours we spent there. Princess rode on her first roller coaster ride...wheeeeee... her laughter quickly turned to screams but she surprisingly wanted to go again, and again, and again!

Lil'Man was amazed throughout the entire day. He loved meeting all of the characters and went to them without any drawbacks. His favorite was Piglet, I didn't think he was going to let go of him!

Husker and I enjoyed watching their eyes light up and those priceless smiles. We're already planning trip #2 for this summer!
