For the Love of the ol' US of A
This is me babbling...late night thoughts, so if it doesn't make any sense just ignore it! lol
Hundreds of years ago this country was 'found' based on the moral values, beliefs and principals of our people back then. As an American I firmly believe at that time our Constitution, our Government and our Ethics of Life were proposed by those who were trying to birth a country of freedoms. (Yes I understand the Native Americans were here, that's a whole nother story).
Decades pass, people change, our economy changes... which is understandable it's bound to happen. We fight for more freedoms, more change which causes our society to drastically become imposed with no choice but to acknowledge and accept those changes.
But when is enough, enough? There's always a battle of freedoms. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of sexuality. Parents are fighting school systems on behalf of their children's 'rights'. Women are constantly fighting battles to change our rights as women. And the people of today are continually scrutinized and brutally critcized for the beginnings of our constitution, principals and beliefs of our forefathers ages and ages ago!
Do the people here not realize just how much freedom we do have, even if we lived based on those founding principals a hundreds of years ago? Why do we even have a constitution? Why do we even have any of these things called Principals and Morals? Let's just all live freely in a world with no rules, no guidelines, no principals, no laws. Is that what it will come to? What gives one person a right to make these changes for everyone else? No one ever comes to me and says, 'what do you think about this or that'.
Look at the drastic difference of our children today. I just wonder how many more generations we have left.
